Tropical Prints and Truman Show Stints

When Natalie Stovall and I went to Destin for the week to write songs (and take cool pics, DUH) I was pumped because I knew we would be so close to the sweetest little beach town of Seaside, FL. 

I had only visited Seaside briefly, many years ago, and only got to stop through on a road trip for a few hours. But it was long enough to fall in love with the bright colored houses, the white picket fences everywhere, the AIRSTREAM OUTDOOR FOOD COURT... (what????!! Did somebody say dream life?) This town was obviously planned to perfection and it embodies charm.  

Natalie was actually the one who told me that the Truman Show had been filmed here and as we explored the surrounding neighborhoods around the main square it was like, yup, they sure did.  And ok, maybe the point of the Truman show was that those neighborhoods were a little tooo perfect, in real life, it's just actually perfect. In the most perfectly stunning way, not a creepy way.  We took tons of pics in this little spot. I'm so obsessed and wish I could live here!

Speaking of obsessed! Let's talk about this adorable two piece set from Epic Rain Boutique.  Like I always have to mention, I have been limiting myself when it comes to fashion for much of my life and it's been exciting to step outside of those self imposed boundaries and have a little fun!  My on stage wardrobe is still mostly Romantic Prairie vibe with a 70's western twist, but lately, I've been enjoying breaking some of my own rules! 

And what better place to rock this adorable set than hanging in the cutest tropical setting?  It's so cute it's literally called the "Take me to Paradise" set!  This look is perfect for drinks on a patio, shopping or a casual date night. This is definitely  a "When in Rome" look, cause it's just right for the beach! I paired it with my fav straw bag and my go to clogs.
