Getting Out There Video Shoot
The music video for "Getting Out There" was the first of the videos in the "Get Drunk and Cry" Short Film. The song is about going out with your gals and trying to get over THAT guy. About having some drinks, having some fun and maybe even reinventing yourself. About getting back out into the world after your heart's been wrecked.
I had a great time shooting this vid. I wanted a look that pushed the envelope for me. A little bit sexier than I usually go for sure. Darker colors as well. An outfit your girlfriend's might pick out for you (actually in the video they did) if they were trying to convince you to go out for a fun night to help get your mind off of being so heartbroken. I went with a crushed velvet bodysuit, high waisted jeans, a suede jacket and crazy pink crushed velvet booties.
We shot the video in one of my favorite bars in the neighborhood, Crying Wolf. We go there a lot and I loved their dark and a little bit creepy aesthetic for this song. We also filmed at one of my best friend Eavie's condo! She has a super cool spot filled with great mid century pieces so it really added to the whole look.
It was an awesome day and I'm so happy with the way it turned out! Here's the video!
